Welsh Cider and Welsh perry

Gold for Wernddu Great Taste Awards

At the edge of our garden are three Potato Pear trees and one Helen’s early. We’re very lucky because sadly these varieties are dying out. Despite being planted over 120 years ago, these trees produce the pears that make our distinct Over the Hedge perry. Pale gold in colour and available in sweet, medium and dry it’s clean, crisp and refreshing. We also gather a number of local varieties from Monmouthshire farms.

Our Black Dingle cider is popular too. Apples are gathered from orchards and trees in the local area and pressed using traditional techniques. With its gorgeous colour and fresh aromas this is quality cider at its best. Cheers!

Superb - what a pleasure to visit.
